About

I am a born and bred Washingtonian! I have lived, worked, protested and played here all my life. I have a great passion for sharing my love for my city and our country with all our visitors, domestic and international. Growing up here, my school trips would be to the Smithsonian museums and National Gallery of Art. The best fireworks were on the National Mall for Independence Day. Free concerts with the National Symphony on the Capitol grounds. I grew up in an international city without realizing it until I started to travel around the world myself. I attended Catholic University in DC where I received a degree in Speech and Drama. This was followed very logically by a long career in mortgage banking (LOL) which allowed me to work with clients in the private and public sector. My clients worked at the White House, on Capitol Hill, Dept of State to the Library of Congress. I have served on the Board of Directors of local, state and national non-profits. I have received an award twice for my volunteer service to the citizens of my community. We are a real community of people who go to work every day, have families and real lives like everyone else in the country and world. We just happen to have local markets and businesses close to iconic buildings of national & international importance. The many intersections of culture, politics, art, business, education, science, international affairs is a constant thrill and source of amazement for me which I strive to share with my guests.

Hobbies & Interests
I love my city and its many neigborhoods. There is so much free and accesible culture here in DC. Stopping into the Phillips Gallery to see a Van Gogh painting. Watching street muscians perform. Sitting on the grass and reading a book along the banks of the Potomac River. Attending a free concert at the Kennedy Center. Enjoying a glass of wine with a friend at a restaurant owned by 5 generations of the same family. These are the things which nourish my soul!

Virtual Tour Experience

I have created a live virtual tour of the Georgetown neighborhood using powerpoint. I have presented it to several different groups. It has been received extremely well by guests.
