How many people get the opportunity to say “I LOVE MY JOB!”? I knew after my first trip in Alaska as a Tour Director, this was the place for me. Passionate, enthusiastic and energetic are words I’ve heard used to describe me. I’ve also been called the Energizer Bunny. I consider myself an Adventure Enthusiast, bringing joy to travelers one tour at a time.
I am a former Corporate Marketing leader, having worked for Kraft, Nabisco, Pepsi, and Western Union. When my waistline told me it was time to leave my corporate life, I left a job I liked, to a career I LOVE! Becoming a Tour Director/Manager was the best decision I have ever made. If only I had made the move sooner! I lead tours year-round, guiding for adults, families, singles and students. Why did I decide to become a Tour Director? When I was on my own 8th grade student trip to Washington D.C/New York I had the best guide, named Anne. She was interactive, engaging and fun. We learned so much. That trip inspired me to want to travel the world and go into politics. While I never did become a politician (although I did work for a State Senator), the urge to keep learning and traveling never went away. Two other personal trips as an adult had a huge impact on me. Each Tour Director helped create long lasting, magical memories. As I got older, I realized I wanted to have a positive impact on people, just like my Tour Directors had on me. When it was time to leave Corporate America, it was an easy decision to start leading tours. I’ve loved every second.
I’d love the opportunity to provide an educational, interactive, engaging and fun tour for your guests, just like Anne’s tour was for me so many years ago.
