Growing up in a family of pilots has always made the world a smaller place, but no matter the size I wanted to explore it. I landed an airplane for the first time when I was 10. History is my passion, I want to stand in the place where decisions were made and lives were changed. I love to learn and will spend many a rainy day curled up with a book about Tudor culture or Queen Anne architecture. However if weather allows I love to get my hands dirty metaphorically and physically from caving in West Virginia to navigating glaciers in Alaska. I am endlessly curious and will pursue or attempt just about anything once: snails are delicious, polar plunges are for the bears. I loved the idea that “not all who wander are lost” except for the fact, that I am usually lost and that’s exactly where I want to be.
