Adventures In Seattle is a small outdoor adventure company serving visitors to the Seattle area. We serve the adventure seeker that wants to get away from the crowds and explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

We’re Hiring

Adventure Guide, May – October (opportunity for winter hiking/snowshoe guiding as well)

Where we guide: Mount Rainier National Park, Wallace Falls State Park, Crystal Mountain 

Requirements for guiding at Mount Rainier National Park: Wilderness First Responder, Adult CPR certification, Leave No Trace Trainer Cert, Valid Driver’s License and comfort operating a vehicle.

Requirements for guiding at Wallace Falls State Park: Adult CPR certification, Valid Driver’s License and comfort operating a vehicle.

Preferred Credentials: training and professional experience in guiding and/or outdoor education (i.e. NOLS, Outward Bound, degree in Outdoor Education or related field, Wilderness Therapy, other Adventure Travel Companies, etc). Speak and write English fluently.

Age: 23+

The primary responsibility is to create a memorable, safe and fun experience for our guests. Our trails are not technical, and while challenging are meant to be a moderate adventure for our guests. 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to); prep all gear and food, conduct a pre-trip orientation meeting, assist guests in learning the basics of what they need to know (backpack adjusting, trail etiquette), natural and human history interpretation, risk management, cook and clean, and gear repair in the field.

Competence in backcountry travel, strong leadership, teaching/interpretation skills, and communication skills are a must. The ability to find common ground and connect with novice guests of different ages, backgrounds and nationalities.

Ability and willingness to pick up and carry a heavy backpack for multiple hours/days. Availability May – September (opportunity for winter guiding as well).
