Gap Year Program Leader
We are hiring ASAP for one final Gap Year Program Leader to complete our 3-person leader team for this coming Fall semester program.
Program:
Ingenuity Year is a new gap year program in Maine designed for students with learning differences and ADHD. In our Fall program, Climate Change in Coastal Maine, we engage with this global phenomenon through hands-on research projects, capstone projects, and engagement with community and partners along the coast of Maine.
Position Summary:
Program leaders are mentors, coaches, and role models. They provide support for students, explore and expand comfort zones, manage risk, advocate for optimal student health, and support logistics from transportation to budgets. They are ambassadors to local contacts and represent our community. They bring heart, soul, and grit to a job that is challenging, rewarding, and multi-faceted.
Timeline:
Staff training starts on August 25 and the program runs from September 1 to November 10.
Salary and Benefits:
- $450 – $800 / week, DOE
- Paid staff training
- All expenses covered during staff training and the program (11 weeks)
- Transportation to and from the program location is covered
- Health, Dental, and Vision insurance provided
