Community Guidelines

The goals of our community are to gather together to connect and learn from one another. We want to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships in the travel industry, and to support and learn from one another through increased opportunities for engagement and camaraderie.

Look for the best place to connect with others: if you’re posting in the food tours group, make sure you’re in the right place to get your question answered.

Support newbies: we love it when newcomers join our community. They need everyone’s help and encouragement the most.

Respect that people have different points of view. Don’t take things personally if people disagree with you. Take it as a learning opportunity.

Search to see if the topic has already been covered on Campfire. It can be frustrating for our members if they have to answer the same question repeatedly.

Give feedback in a construction and helpful way. Ever heard of a feedback s’more? It goes like this: “I really like the colors you’re using on your logo. I think you could improve it if you removed the curved text as it could be hard to read. Overall, great job!”  It’s feedback sandwiched between two graham crackers.

Engage in non-constructive behavior.  This is a community learning platform and we should aim to support each other.

Bully or make inflammatory remarks to other community members.

Advertise or spam. We don’t mind if you include links to websites in your messages, provided it’s relevant and contextual information, but we’re not down with commercial solicitation, straight up advertising, or contributions designed to promote traffic to another site.

Reporting Abuse:

We will take action when we see someone violating these guidelines. Sometimes that just means giving someone a warning; other times it means revoking certain privileges or accounts entirely. We request that all community members report behavior that violates our guidelines by clicking here.
