Following a 25-year career as founder and president of a New York public relations agency, where I developed excellent communication and public speaking skills, I have been working as a NYC tour guide since 2015. I have a NYC Sightseeing Guide license with a starred score of 123. My relevant NYC guide experience includes the Municipal Arts Society, New-York Historical Society, Big Apple Greeter, New York Adventure Club, the City Reliquary and Open House New York. I was a member of the winning team in the Queens Museum’s 2016 NYC history trivia contest. A lifelong New Yorker, I’m an avid NYC history buff and have read dozens of books on the topic. I’ve also served as director of public relations for WNYC Public Radio and also as press secretary for Mayor Ed Koch’s reelection campaign. I've produced and conducted successful and well-attended in-person and virtual tours of the New York World's Fair, Flushing Meadows Park; Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn; Five Points/Manhattan and Freedomland, Bronx. I'm best when developing and conducting my own tour content and have a number of upcoming ones I'm currently building. I can also easily present standard scripted tours.
