I switched careers when my oldest daughter went to college after being a mom and a graphic designer for years. I wanted to try something new that I was passionate about and that utilized my strengths. I thought about what I love most…arts, travel, and connection. I think travel is important for all ages because when you learn about other people and cultures, you develop empathy and understanding.
I love to see travelers experience new adventures…a few of them ride an airplane for the first time, some haven’t ventured beyond their home state, and many have never been to a big city like New York. That takes courage which in turn builds confidence. It is beautiful to witness their growth by the end of the trip.
I am highly organized so I’m great with details and logistics. I studied acting in NYC and performed in theatre for many years. I’ve personally traveled to 18 countries, 48 states, and 19 national parks. I grew up sailing and camping and experienced a variety of educational vacations each summer. I think all of my life experiences have helped me to excel as a tour director.
