My name is Erin and I’m a tour guide who has been leading tours around the US, UK, and Ireland since 2012. Like many people I arrived at my career via a winding path. After graduating from my master’s program, where I studied art history, I questioned where to go next. After years of working in shops I knew I genuinely liked working with people, and a study abroad program I completed infected me with a very serious travel bug. I had thought about teaching, but realized that I enjoy being outdoors too much to be inside all day long and after doing some research, I think I’ve found my perfect career that allows me to do the things I enjoy most on a daily basis.

The company I started mid-pandemic, Rhody Rambles, specializes in private walking tours of Rhode Island. I work often in Newport and Providence but am developing walking tours of smaller towns around the state, and starting to do some private guided tours on wheels as well by foot.
As a tour manager, I have worked since 2012 in the United States (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, NY, LA, MS, TN, KY, NC), Canadian Maritimes, United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), and in the Republic of Ireland.

Irish dancing, reading, walking/hiking, oysters (just eating them...not digging for them), researching (yes, I'm that nerd), and painting.

"Erin is a fantastic tour guide. She communicated with my wife and I before the tour to ascertain our interest then customized the tour to us. It was WONDERFUL !!!"

“We loved our tour with Erin! She was so interesting and had fun facts to share that made it all so very interesting. There were 7 in our group and we reduced our time to 3 hours and ended with a tour of the interior of The Breakers. It was a great day!.”
