I reside on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and enjoy bicycling in the city and delivering tours to visitors of all ages. I particularly look forward to tours of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and American Museum of Natural History. I’ve designed scavenger hunts of both museums for children who prefer this experience to the traditional tour.
I’ve begun splitting my time between New York and New Orleans. Down in NOLA I’ve created pedicab tours for the French Quarter and Garden District.
In the spring months I enjoy directing tours for students to Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. I have a new and interesting tour of Arizona from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon coming up in the spring of 2022. I’ve taken a particular interest in this tour because their is an opportunity to learn about topics that aren’t part of my usual repertoire.
I also conduct senior tours of diverse locations including Niagara Falls and Nashville, TN.
I value variety and new experiences feeling that if one does too much of the same thing inevitably one becomes stale.
Recently, I received Austrian citizenship so now with the legal right to work and reside in the European Union I expect to be spending more time in Europe each year.
A few years ago I took Trip School’s New England Fall Foliage training. That turned out to be invaluable when I was asked by a tour operator to design a New England tour for them. Later on I took the Trip School Tech in Tourism Course which improved all of my tours. Thanks Trip School!
