In high school, I always wanted to be Julie from the ‘Love Boat’. Cruise ships did not venture to my part of the world so it would have meant moving over 3,000 kilometers from home to work on them.  I didn’t like that idea so what did I do instead? At 21 years of age, I became a tour escort on extended coach tours travelling all over Australia and often over 3,000 kms away from home! Ya gotta laugh 😉

After moving to one of Australia’s most remote capital cities, I took a decade-long sabbatical to work in hospitality and higher education, but the tourism pull was too strong.  In 2014 my husband and I started our own tourism business offering guided sightseeing walking experiences. Eight years on, we now offer a catalogue of ten tours in the City, Botanic Gardens and as site guides at the local Museum.
