I love people. Meeting new people and developing relationships energizes me. As a young teenager, I read biographies for fun. Maybe that’s why I love history so much–it’s the story of people. I had the opportunity to teach high school U.S. History for several years, and I am passionate about inspiring people to be engaged and involved citizens. I want to be a part of helping people experience new places and meet new people because that is the best way for us to learn that, as human beings, our commonalities are so much greater than our differences. When we embrace this outlook, we can build bridges, and all work together to have a positive impact on the world.
P.S. I have a special interest in showing Canadians around the National Mall in Washington D.C.
