Max Wertheim is a professional Tour Director, guide, performer, and storyteller who loves creating memorable experiences through history, humor, and genuine connection.

Max works with Premier Alaska Tours, leading multi-day tours throughout Alaska from May through September and sharing the state’s incredible landscapes, wildlife, history, and communities with travelers from around the world. During the rest of the year, she works in St. Petersburg, Florida, leading trolley and golf cart tours and introducing guests to the city’s history, culture, architecture, and hidden gems.

Her Tour Director experience also includes leading student travel programs in Washington, D.C., and New York City, helping students connect with American history, culture, and the stories behind the places they visit. Whether working with students, cruise guests, or multi-day travelers, Max brings an engaging and personal approach to every group.

With a background in performance, Max brings energy and personality to every tour. She spent three years performing at Walt Disney World, bringing characters including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Piglet, and Stitch to life. She is also a stand-up and improv comedian with more than a decade of experience, giving her a natural ability to read a crowd, think on her feet, and keep guests entertained.

Max’s diverse background also includes officiating college, professional, and international soccer, where she developed strong communication, leadership, and quick decision-making skills.

Having traveled to more than 20 countries, Max believes the best travel experiences are about more than seeing new places. They’re about the stories, connections, and moments that stay with you. Whether she’s leading students through Washington, D.C. or New York City, guiding travelers through Alaska, or showing guests around St. Petersburg, her goal is always the same: to make every journey informative, entertaining, and unforgettable.
