Hi, I’m Max Wertheim — a full-time tour guide in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida, and a lifelong performer and communicator with a love for making people laugh, learn, and feel connected.
For the past two years, I’ve been guiding locals and visitors alike through the streets of St. Pete with StPeteGolfCartTours, where I get to blend storytelling, history, and humor into every ride. Whether it’s sharing the city’s hidden gems or giving people a fresh perspective on their hometown, I thrive on creating memorable experiences.
In addition to my work as a tour guide, I’m a Brand Ambassador for MOR TV, where I represent the station at community events across Florida. From engaging with fans to promoting the station’s shows, I get to be part of the fun, high-energy world of live events — and occasionally even suit up in costume for special appearances.
Before all that, I spent three magical years performing at Disney World, portraying beloved characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Piglet, and Stitch. It was a dream job that taught me how to connect with people of all ages through performance, presence, and play.
I also have over 10 years of experience in stand-up and improv comedy, which continues to fuel my creativity and spontaneity. Comedy has always been a passion — one that’s carried me through everything from open mics to organized improv shows.
While I no longer referee full-time, soccer has been a major part of my journey. I started officiating at 17 and have since worked everything from college games to professional and international matches, proudly representing Florida on the national stage. These days, I still pick up the occasional game — mostly for the love of the sport.
Another lifelong passion of mine is travel. I’ve visited over 20 countries, and each trip has deepened my love for cultural exploration and connecting with people through shared experiences. That love for travel has inspired me to take the next big step in my journey — this October, I’ll be attending Trip School Bootcamp in Washington, D.C. to train as a professional Tour Director. I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned on stage, in costume, and on the streets of St. Pete to the global stage.
When I’m not working, I’m either on stage performing comedy or exploring the outdoors—hiking, climbing, and chasing new adventures.
