Bonjour! Je m’appelle Jacqueline, but you can call me Jax. I’m a Texas based tour guide/director who specializes in music, art, history and wine tours. I first fell in love with guiding back in 2011 while I was working for the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas. After a docent called in sick, I volunteered to lead a group of twenty art enthusiasts around the museum and garden. It was a blast! Encouraged by the positive feedback I received, I jumped on every opportunity to lead tours, quickly expanding my reach out and around the entire city.
Over the next few years, I regularly engaged in one of my other favorite hobbies – researching and developing tour itineraries. After returning from an incredible two-month trip to Europe in 2017, I began customizing itineraries for family, friends and work colleagues. When an acquaintance asked if I was available to lead a multi-day Texas tour for her and her college friends, I accepted the challenge and so began my professional guiding career. Eager to improve my skills and expand my reach, I serendipitously discovered Trip School and did my first training with Mitch & Alan in Washington, D.C. I continue to learn so much from them and I look forward to many more in-person trainings and familiarization tours with Trip School throughout my career.
Now with hundreds of public, private and corporate tours under my belt, I’ve seen first hand the power of travel to enrich and unite us. Nothing brings me more joy than helping travelers make unforgettable memories and I’m grateful to have met and made friends with so many wonderful people from across the globe. Looking forward to making many more friends and curating many more amazing travel experiences throughout the rest of 2021 and beyond!
