Let me lavish some praise on one of your best tour guides, Jason Stein. Jason -- who I remember from his spectacular lower-Manhattan tours in 2016 -- led an Upper West Side buildings tour this year. And once again, he flawlessly walked the line between deep knowledge and open-mindedness to new facts, between comedic and professorial. He used recorded music when it fit in, a creative innovation I rarely see in volunteer tour guides. Probably the highest compliment I can give: I live in the neighborhood, and from the depth of Jason's knowledge and ease with his surroundings, I assumed he did, too.
