About

As a Fulbright Scholar, I studied at the Free University in Berlin, Germany during the Cold War days.                                                                                            I traveled extensively during that year in Europe and the Eastern Bloc countries, including the then                                                                                                Soviet Union.  Later during a 3-year stay in Heidelberg, I led tours for American military dependents                                                                                          to  surrounding areas, such as the Black Forest.

With advanced degrees in German and Library Science, I worked many years in academic and public libraries                                                                               instructing students in German and Information Literacy.
