I have just completed year one as a tour guide; best career decision I've made! I guided student tours in the spring and adult tours through the summer and fall of 2024. Locations guided: D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, and the Deep South (over-the-road, Houston to Miami). I'd like to broaden my tour map in 2025--especially internationally. I've traveled to over 50 countries, lived in Scotland, and have studied abroad twice (Japan and Hong Kong). I grew up in a military family which engendered a "bloom where you are planted" mentality--a mindset that comes in really handy when traveling. I have an elementary understanding of the Japanese language (and am currently taking coursework to become more proficient). I am a quick study and would relish the opportunity to direct a tour in any (relatively-safe) location.
