"A journey to a thousand miles and tons of cherished memories begin with your Tour Guide" by -Leah Medado

About

Making the guest experience seamless, memorable and fun are what defines me as a tour guide/tour director since I started in 2011 back in the Philippines. My career as a front liner in the tourism industry is not only tour guiding or tour directing but also in the field of mentoring the next generation of tourism professionals.

As a tour guide/tour director, creating tour  experiences are not just escorting, knowing relevant facts, figures and tips but building rapport with guests that shows genuine interests to their needs and expectations of the journey are my top priorities.

Essential skills set applied on the job are risk management, adaptability, flexibility, time management, organizational skills, as well as creativity and sensitivity to cultural diversity which I was exposed early on from guiding in different countries like the Philippines, Taiwan and now in the USA.

At present, my focus is designing hybrid virtual tours as well as continue with the job as an adjunct remote learning facilitator among tourism students back in the Philippines as a way to pay forward and be a positive impact in the global community. Open for possible on-site guiding/directing within Pittsburgh and Beaver County areas and virtual tour design creation projects too.
