Hello and Good Day!
My name is Gagat, born in Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia) 53 years ago and since year 2001 reside in Jogja (or you might know it as Yogyakarta city). My mother is originally from this city, and since I was in Junior High School, I made regular visits to this city, making it a very special place for me and to our family, as well.
Although my educational background was in Business Law, I never practice nor work as a lawyer, since my passion is always in tourism and hospitality business.
I started working in this business as a tour staff at an agency in Jakarta. Following my passion, I became an Instructor of Tour Planning and Guiding, Airfares and Ticketing at a tourism vocational school in Jakarta. I was appointed as the head of the tour department. I also had the chance to develop and initiate the school’s travel agency as one of their income resources.
When I was working as the HR Administration with a Non-Government Organisation from Canada, my passion for hospitality continued, as part of my job was to arrange regional meetings which includes cultural activities. Having almost 10 years of experience working in a multicultural environment, I am pretty sure that this background together with my passion will be a good advantage in helping you to prepare and execute your dreamed journeys. Whether it is a cultural or adventurous journey, educational or just relaxing trip, I will put my greatest effort to make it worth to be in your memorable trip albums.
Beside the passion of showing my beautiful people and country, I enjoy discussion with various topics. I will also share the secrets of the places of interest one might never heard before, making your trip will be more interesting as much as possible.
Other than reading, I like coffee in the afternoon, trains and planes spotting and of course music -singing at almost the right tune, that’s why I am doing it only in my bathroom at home 🙂
