For eight years, I designed integrations at tech companies, a role that gave me the freedom to work remotely and explore the country – I had the opportunity to live from Atlanta and Chicago to San Diego and Key West. During this time I got to know the US National Park system very well.
My introduction to guiding proceeds my tech career – I made my start as a campus guide at the University of Florida. Today, I’m located in Washington, DC, which is where my core destination knowledge lies. I’m a relatively new tour director primarily leading student tours locally. I am interested in expanding into new cities – Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC are at the top of my list. I want to grow into designing cultural tours that incorporate local vendors for travelers of all ages that are looking for authenticity.
I have a strong head for logistics, and I treat every interaction as a chance to make a new friend. I am purpose driven and my goal in this profession is to create unexpected, transformative moments that make guests feel truly connected to a foreign place – experiences that will stick with them long after we say our goodbyes.
