About

I truly love my job and have an immense passion for what I do. I bring energy, professionalism, and a deep enthusiasm for history and culture to every tour I lead. I gain tremendous joy from inspiring travelers to explore the world—and from telling terribly bad jokes along the way!

Originally from Australia, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to travel from mountains and monoliths to the Great Barrier Reef (yes, Nemo really is there if you look closely!). I’ve explored many corners of the globe, including Canada, Africa, India, Oceania, New Zealand, and, of course, the great USA—which I now proudly call home. Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege of leading both student and adult tours across these regions.

One of the aspects I find most rewarding about travel is connecting with locals—learning about their culture, traditions, and daily life. I believe it’s vital to understand how diverse histories and cultures have intertwined to create this incredible world we live in. My goal as a Tour Manager is to help every traveler return home not only with treasured memories but with a renewed perspective—one that inspires them to make the world a better place.

I am a proud permanent U.S. resident (Green Card holder) and currently reside on historic Roosevelt Island in New York City.

Testimonials

“I had the pleasure of working with Eileen in NYC.  It was the first leg of a rather lengthy international trip with a large group of students.  She was the perfect guide for our very diverse group.  Eileen kept us on schedule, made sure we saw some rather amazing sites, and had a truly vast amount of knowledge about everything that we saw and did.  Our students were excited and got a very proper tour thanks to Eileen.  I will certainly request her for future tours and can wholeheartedly recommend her for guide work in NYC and beyond.”

Eileen Coloretti has been our 8th-grade East Coast trip guide for several years, and she is truly exceptional. She knows every destination inside and out, bringing each place to life with great insight and stories. She is engaging, kind, and effortlessly builds rapport with both teens and adults alike.

Her organization and professionalism are unparalleled. Eileen is collaborative and always prepared with thoughtful alternatives if plans change, handling any unexpected hiccups with calm, and confidence. We've even experienced a medical situation on a past trip, and her composure and care provided us with an incredible sense of reassurance.

Beyond her skill and professionalism, Eileen is simply a joy to travel with. She is fun, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about every person on the trip. I trust her completely with both my students and my team, and I can confidently say she is the best in the business!

I wholeheartedly recommend Eileen as an exceptional tour director for 8th-grade student trips. She is beyond caring, endlessly flexible, and truly one of the most fun and uplifting people you could ever hope to travel with. Her energy, positivity, and genuine love for the students are unmatched.

What sets her apart is how deeply she adores the kids and how naturally she connects with them. She makes every student feel seen, valued, and safe, all while giving them an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives. Whether it’s adjusting plans on the fly or adding a special moment to make the trip unforgettable, she handles everything with grace, humor, and heart.

There is no one I would rather have leading our tours. Over the years she hasn’t just been a trusted professional, she has become a close friend because of the remarkable, authentic, caring person she is. Any group lucky enough to have her at the helm will have a truly extraordinary experience.

Eileen with EF Tours is truly an amazing travel guide. She is a fun, bubbly, bright-pink-haired Aussie who instantly connects with students and adults alike. Her knowledge and calm, organized approach keep everything running smoothly, and she perfectly balances educational content with fun, interesting facts that students genuinely enjoy.

She has guided our large groups of promoted 8th graders from California to Washington, DC and New York City for two years in a row, and we’re thrilled to have her back for a third year. We couldn’t imagine a better guide!
