My husband retired in 2017 and was enjoying himself (mostly playing golf) while I continued with my stressful social work career. I knew I was ready to make a change myself, but golf isn’t my idea of fun! I don’t cook, garden, or craft, so I knew traditional retirement wasn’t for me. Instead I looked for a new career that combined my love of history, my joy of meeting and helping people, and desire to travel! I found ITMI in 2018 and started doing student tours in DC in 2019. From there I’ve expanded to adult tours to various destinations. Before she passed in 2019, my mother (and main traveling companion) used to say I’d make an excellent tour guide. Well I know I’m making my mother proud!
