About

I have an intercultural upbringing, born and raised in Philadelphia, by an American father and a Danish mother.

About a half a lifetime ago, I moved permanently to Denmark, and am now a dual US/Danish citizen. I speak both languages fluently. I can get by in German, but am not fluent. I lived in Southern Germany for 3 years.

Maneuvering around Europe has been easy for me, because I can always communicate in one way or other and find my way around. It’s never been a hindrance, and I find it really rewarding.

Education-wise, I have a master’s degree in Business and HR from the Copenhagen Business School.

I’ve worked in the Danish film and TV industry for 10 years, as a production manager. Most recently, I’ve worked for a group travel company in Copenhagen for 6 years, responsible for hiring and scheduling tour managers, as well as being the customer service manager.

The past 9 months have been spent at the university, studying for my Danish tour guide license. It was a leap for me, and it was something I’ve wanted to do for several years. It’s been an amazing journey into Danish history, designing innovative tours, and communication.

I’ve also taken some storytelling classes, because I know that’s what guests want.

People would describe me as a happy, positive person who they can trust. Also, being responsible for tour guides AND customer service, I know what guests want and what they don’t want. I push myself every day to be better.
