Danielle started her guiding career whilst living for a short time in the Republic of Georgia, there she took tourist on Jeep Tours in to the Caucus Mountains. In 2015 she moved back to her hometown of London, England and worked on the Big Bus Tours as a guide. In 2017 she qualified as a City of London guide and now 2020 a Blue Badge tourist guide and just before lockdown she was awarded her freedom of the city of London. (this means she gets to drive sheep across London bridge).
Danielle has a passion for British History and the sites in London that correlate like Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London, alongside her exceptional Changing the Guard Ceremony Tour. She has a flair for story telling bringing the people of the past to life through her enthusiasm and ability to pick interesting information.
Her love of the City of London; its traditions, its development through history and the City’s wonderful quirks has led to many opportunities like working for the Aldgate in Winter Festival. She is enthusiastic for also rewriting women in to the City’s history providing themed tours based on women’s contribution in the one square mile.
Currently she is developing her knowledge of WW1 and WW2 and also LGBTQA+ history.
In lockdown she has started to share her passion on youtube: Dani the Guide channel by telling London Snippets of History of the quirkier side London has to offer which is another passion of hers; guiding off the beaten track.
She has also begun to give virtual tours through London; taking you virtually through the main streets of London discovering all the most familiar sites and she also enjoys taking you through the back streets of London and retelling the quirkier stories, showing you sites that you may miss on foot without a guide.
