Born in Quebec. Moved back and forth between Quebec and BC military bases.
Learned English at 6 years old — it eventually became my first language, but I do still speak French.
Moved to the West Coast permanently at 14.
Studied Travel & Tourism to become a travel agent after high school. Also worked at a few ski hills in Vancouver and Banff. Then had 2 daughters and went back to College to take an Office Careers program, which allowed me to get work in corporate offices. Worked in Customer Service/Buyers positions for a variety of suppliers until 2014.
Became a Volunteer Ski Patroller in 2003 for the Canadian Ski Patrol. Also, became a guide for Destination Snow, where we took college students to ski hills in Whistler and the BC interior for the weekend.
In 2014, moved to beautiful Bowen Island, BC with my husband and opened a restaurant. Sold it after a couple of years. Amazing experience. In 2021, opened a franchise quick service restaurant from scratch. Took the opportunity to sell it to another franchisee as I knew this wasn’t my passion. Another tremendous accomplishment, very proud of this achievement.
Traveled in England, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Mexico and Thailand, plus extensively in the US and Canada.
Driven between Vancouver and Montreal 6 times. Absolutely love road trips. Can drive for miles and miles. Love discovering what is around each corner. Own a VW Westfalia and have driven it around BC/Alberta and all the way down to the Mexican border.
When I discovered Trip School, I knew instantly that being a Tour Director is what I was meant to do. Part of me wishes that I had started sooner, however everything happens when it was meant to happen. I love seeing people see the places they have always dreamed of seeing and showing them places they didn’t know exist. Seeing it through their eyes makes it like the first time again for me.
