As I was coming of age in the 90’s, my free spirit was awakened! I traveled the highways of the United States, admiring the many marvels this beautiful country has to offer. My love of adventure inspired a business to keep me on the road selling my wares at national music, art and food festivals. My travels took me from NYC to LA and everywhere in between!
In 1999, I fell in love with Montana, specifically between Bozeman and west Yellowstone. I took a year off of travel to work seasonal employment in both West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park. Here, my love of hiking, camping and backpacking was born! I was also introduced to a new nomadic lifestyle, working in national parks, while simultaneously learning the history and geography of the area!
After a year of exploring Montana, I returned to my nomadic lifestyle and became a nationally known festival vendor pioneering festival fashion. As a proud business owner, I explored most of the United states, including cities, culture and nature. I discovered Austin TX in 2001, “a big city with a small town feel”, and planted roots. I now have Austin Texas as a home and have earned my BBA in marketing at Texas State University. Shortly after earning my degree in 2016, I decided to take one last adventure. Before settling into a “normal job” , I headed to Kanab Utah for another seasonal employment opportunity. Here, I fell in love with Southern Utah and the surrounding areas!
In 2018, my parents took a national parks tour. They had an amazing Tour Director and thought of their nomadic daughter. Upon their return, my Mother couldn’t wait to share the news that they had found a perfect profession for me, a bittersweet moment in my life. From here, I began my research by contacting industry professionals. After my research, I decided to use Trip School for my certification, as they seemed to be the most forward thinking school in the industry. Since then I haven’t looked back!
My main goal was always to share my love of the national parks with people who have never been. I’ll never forget my first time visiting Zion or Yellowstone and there is nothing better then sharing these experiences with others! It is hard to believe I have already reached that goal and my knowledge is growing every day! I cant wait to go on my next tour and to continue working with companies that understand the importance of discovery through travel!
