I have years of experience working in college access at a very diverse high school, programming for international students studying at a community college, and as a liaison for a U.S. Department of State professional exchange program. Whether it’s navigating logistics on a tight schedule, finding hidden gems in terms of cultural sites and food, troubleshooting things on the fly, locating the nearest restroom in 5 languages, or addressing medical emergencies, I’ve got your back!
Born and raised in Fredericksburg, VA, a George Washington University alumni and long-time DC and northern Virginia resident, I am extremely familiar with what DC has to offer. I love traveling, learning languages, karaoke, salsa dancing, eating tropical fruits, and talking and making genuine connections.
Favorite travel experiences:
– Walking 800 km of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, then completing the Kumano Kodo 2 years later in Japan and becoming a Dual Pilgrim!
– Finding a place to stay at Zhangjiajie national park in China (Avatar Mountains) after someone telling me there are no places to stay and the park closing in 15 minutes.
– Peace Corps volunteer at two schools in a village in Georgia– the country, not the state!
– Deciding to go to TripSchool Tour Director Bootcamp 3 days before the first day!
